What are some common sales myths in the Audiovisual & Production industry?

None that come directly to mind.

What career advice would you give a graduate or person thinking of a career change so they could find sales vacancies in your industry?

You need to listen. You need to fully understand what the persons actually needs. This can often be hard as the client may not always realise what that is themselves. If you are prepared to listen to them and their needs you can provide them a solution that helps their business which in turn will assist in your sales career.
