Sales Commission Scheme

Rules: 

Commission is payable on the following products / services:

  • Messaging & Collaboration Solutions (MCS)
  • On Demand Managed Services (ODMS)
  • Security & Gateway Services (SGS)
  • Database Storage & Backup (DSB)
  • Custom Solutions (CS)

Commission is not payable for the following:

  • Tape & Other Consumable Sales
  • Digital Licence Fees
  • Transport         

A "ramp up" period is allowed, whereby for new starters, the quota starts at 20% of normal amount, and increases by 20% each month, such that full monthly revenue is achieved by month five.              
Commission is payable at the following milestones:

  • For MCS following the first full month of service
  • For ODMS once contract signed and service commenced
  • For SGS following first full month's invoice
  • For DSB following first full month's invoice
  • For CS once project is complete and invoiced to the customer 

Commission is payable at the following rates:

  • MCS 2 x first month's (16.6% of annual messaging revenue)
  • ODMS 1 x first month's invoice (8.3% of total annual revenues)
  • SGS 1 x first month's invoice (8.3% of total annual revenues)
  • DSB 1 x first month's storage (8.3% of annual storage revenue)
  • CS 3% of total project value

Commission Accelerator:
  
Once annual quota is achieved across all products by a sales person, an accelerator of 120% will apply.  Commission payable will be 120% of the commission earned under the standard scheme 

Commission payments involving any price discounts beyond the sales person pricing authority will be made at the discretion of the National Sales Manager  

For shared opportunities, commission will be shared between sales team members.  Lead sharing will be defined as follows:
 
"Cold Lead" = cold introduction, still requires sales rep to cold call prospect 
"Warm Lead" = introductory meeting with handover to sales rep

10% of the commission payable will be shared with the provider of cold leads 
25% of the commission payable will be shared with the provider of warm leads

Note: The commission scheme is entirely at the company's discretion and subject to change. 

 

Instructions:

Commission claims must be submitted monthly  

1. Record all opportunities on the Tracking Sheet with the revenue allocated 

    (a) Record client name, opportunity detail, close date and commencement date
    (b) Select product from drop down    
    (c) Record monthly revenues    

2. Complete claim form
     
    (a) Record Name, Date of claim, location    
    (b) Select claim period from drop down    
    (c) Record opportunity details, including product from drop down, and annual revenue

3.  Attach supporting documentation (i.e. copies of invoices)

4.  Send to National Sales Manager for sign off
