SALES RECRUITMENT, SALES RECRUITERS & SALES RECRUITMENT MELBOURNE

Sales Salaries Continue To Rise

Even after considering the continued skills shortage of professional salespeople, we expect there to only be moderate salary increases of 5–10% over the next 12 months, although increases of 15% may be offered to entice specialist skill sets.

These increases will mainly apply to base salaries rather than bonuses. Employers understand that they need to be more creative with salary packages in order to attract and retain the best sales staff. We are seeing more employers offering their salespeople car allowances as opposed to company vehicles so that their employees have a choice.

Business Development Managers are the biggest salary winners throughout Australia, however such increases were not reflected in increases to Sales Managers and Sales Directors.

Many employers are also rewarding their sales staff with un-capped commission structures to retain staff. Salaries for sales roles in regional locations such as Newcastle increased by as much as 20% last year as companies use higher salaries to attract applicants to relocate.
